I’m gonna go on a small rant tonight and I hope everyone is ok with that and takes my words to heart.
A brewery very special to our family just posted that they are closing. Cedar Creek Brewery in Seven Points is closing up shop. My wife spent many outings with her now passed father at this particular brewery. Her mother spent many outings with him there as well. It eats me up when a brewery has to close it’s doors. No one would ever argue that Cedar Creek makes some of the best craft beer in DFW. But everything they made was with love and the want to share it with anyone who came into their brewery. And everything they made is better than anything the big guys can make. I guarantee they make better beer than Bud, Miller, Coors, Modelo, or any other mass produced beer. I just wish more people would stop by and grab some beer from them instead of the gas station or wherever. Cedar Creek could still be in business, but it’s not just them. A handful of breweries close every year. This is why I always say Drink Local. Support these guys. Support people who took a risk to open up a business. Support people who live in your local community.
Well that’s it for my soap box tonight. We’ll have another review posted tomorrow. Always Drink Local so fewer breweries have to close their doors. Enjoy good beer, don’t just get what’s convenient.
